As the yester years, cent percent numbering 46 examinees of
specialised institution Barisal Cadet College have been passed and
scored GPA-5 and topped the result sheets.
On other hand Amrita Lal Dey College of Barisal city scored highest
245 GPA-5 out of 870 appeared and passed 805 examinees of the college
in HSC exam under the Barisal Education Board this year.
Although number of 1,853 GPA-5 in 2013 decreased than 1,895 GPA-5
holders of 2012, but it was increased than 1,310 GPA-5 of 2011.
However rate of 71.69 percent pass in 2013 increased than 66.98 in
2012, 71.12 percent pass of 2011, decreased than 74.34 percent of
2010, acknowledged Prof. Muhammad Shah Alamgir, controller of
examination BEB.
He claimed hard step to conduct the public examinations without giving
chances for adopting unfair means, may reflect in up and downs of
pass rate.
Number of examinees expelled for adopting unfair means incresed to 87
in 2013, 57 inn 2012 and 26 in 2011.
In over all results of HSC 2013 under BEB girls received 72.82 percent
with 960 GPA-5, while the boys passed with 70.55 with 893 GPA-5,
against the total average 71.69 percent pass rate with 1,853 GPA-5
out of total appeared 52,173 examinees including 25,996 boys and
26,177 girls.
In group-wise result like previous year examinees of business studies
with 80.24 percent against the 79.64 percentage of pass rate of 2012
topped the group lists than science and home economics with 68.81 in
2013 and 73.82 in 2012 and humanities and Islamic studies with 66.96
in 2013 and 57.68 percent pass rates in 2012, said the CE of BEB.
Among the colleges Barisal Cadet College with 46, BSL Mohila College
Patuakhali with 2 and Kedarpur Sonar Bangla College of Babuganj with 1
