3-day Dance Festival begins April 27

A three-day Nrityanchal Dance Festival will begin at Jatiya Natyashala and Nandan Manch of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy from April 27.

“The Nrityanhal Dance Festival will be performed at 7 pm every day. Renowned Indian dance master Lila Shamson will inaugurate the programme as the chief guest while Bangladesh choreographer Mostafa Monwar will be present as special guest,” Director of Nrityanchal artiste Shibli Mohammed told journalists at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) at Segunbagicha in the capital.

He said around 250 artistes, including 25 students of different city schools, will perform in the programme.

Replying to a query of journalist, Sibli said a total of Taka 15 lakh will require to organize the dance festival.

Director of Nrityanchal Shamim Ara Nipa and coordinator Muhammad Jahangir, among others, were also present at the press conference.
