Dhaka – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three people along with 200 pieces of Yaba tablets at Kuchai area in South Surma upazila in Sylhet on Sunday night.The detainees were identified as Md Abdul Hannan Mia alias Ashik, 48, Biswajit Deb alias Bishu, 25, and Md Farid Mia, 35. All of them were residing in a rented flat in Kuchai area.Tipped-off, a RAB-9 team led by additional superintendent of Sylhet police Biman Chandra Karmaker conducted a drive in the area around 9:30 pm, said a press release.During the drive, the RAB personnel arrested the trio from the spot and confiscated 200 contraband pills, eight mobile phone sets, 9 SIM cards and Tk 1 lakh in cash.Cases were filed against the detainees in different police stations. They were handed over to Moghlabazar Police Station, RAB added.UNB news agency
