Dhaka – Police in separate drives arrested three people along with 7,000 pieces of Yaba tablets worth of Tk 21 lakh in Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday night.
Tipped off, a team of Malumghat highway police intercepted a bus of ‘Hanif Paribahan’ and arrested Nurussafa, 21, of Sadar upazila and Ayeas, 22, of Ramu uapzila along with 4,000 pieces of contraband tablets in the night, said Alamgir Hossain, in-charge of highway Police.
In another drive, the same team waylaid a bus of ‘Purbani’ and arrested Mongsai Aung, 26, of Ukhia upazila along with 3,000 pieces of Yaba pills.Two separate cases were filed with Chakaria Police Station.UNB
