Three reporters including vice president of Chilmari Press Club
Mominul Islam received life threat in a letter sent by some
unidentified miscreants recently.The miscreants sent the letter to Chilmari Sangbadik Forum office by
post. It was received on Saturday.
The reporters lodged complaint with Chilmari thana seeking security.
The miscreants mentioned the name of Mominul Islam Babu chief reporter
of local weekly Jonopran and vice president of Chilmari press club,
Saurat Hossain Sohel correspondent of Daily Manob Jamin and joint
secretary of Chilmari press club and Readul Isam Babu Chilmari upazila
correspondent of The Daily Khabar Patra and Office Secretary of
Chilmari Sangbadik Forum.The reporters said that they have been
publishing corruption news in various organizations for the last
several days. Inspector (Investigation) of Chilmari Model Thana
Nurul Islam admitted the incident.
