Locals caught three suspected robbers while they were allegedly preparing to commit a robbery at a jewelry shop in Ambarkhana area of the city early Monday.Sensing the presence of the robbers at jewelry shop, ‘Ma Jewelers’, at Barkatia Market in the area, locals surrounded the robber gang around about 12:30 am.After a hot chase, the locals rounded up three of the robber gang— identified as Jakir Hossain, 30, Yusuf Ali, 30, and Jamal Fakir, 35 while others managed to flee.After a good beating, the locals handed the robbers to Kotwali Police Station.Officer-in-charge of the police station Sohel Ahmad confirmed the incident.
