4 injured a crude bomb blast at 14-Party rally in capital

At least four people, including a local Swechhasebak League leader, were injured as a crude bomb was exploded in a protest rally of the ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance in the city’s Hazaribagh area on Wednesday.
Police said miscreants blasted a crude bomb near the stage of the protest rally at 3:15 pm at Hazaribagh Park, leaving several people injured.Local MP Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh was on the stage when the incident took place, said officer-in-charge of Hazaribagh police station Moinul Islam.
The other injured were Mukhtar Hossain, 28, vice president of Swechhasebak League Ward No.22 unit, and one Selim, 30, and Riaz Ahmed, 30.
They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Hospital sources said Mukhtar suffered splinter injuries in his head and handa, while Selim in his abdomen. -UNB
