4 officials responsible for Jamuna depot fire?

The committee, formed by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) to probe the fire incident at the depot of Jamuna Oil Company, has found four officials concerned responsible for the incident. BPC Chairman Yunusur Rahman said the committee that submitted its report on Monday night has identified the negligence of four officials of the company for the fire incident. The officials include deputy-general manager of Jamuna Oil Abul Bashar and maintenance engineer Mushfiqur Rahman. Among them, Mushfiqur was suspended on Saturday. At least nine employees of Jamuna Oil Company Ltd suffered burn injuries as a fire broke out at its depot in the city’s Patenga area on Friday evening. The five-member committee was formed on Saturday with BPC director (marketing) SM Rejoan Hossain as its head to investigate the fire incident. Besides, the Fire Service formed another probe committee to identify the cause behind the fire incident. – UNB
