A total of 42 mosques here received 300 ceiling fans from Nahid Foundation on Friday to
help the devotees offer Tarabi prayers smoothly during the month of Ramadan.
A simple function was also held at Gaibandha Station Club of the town here in the
morning with president of the foundation Abu Hasnat Bulu in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Quazi Anwarul Haque formally handed over the fans worth
about Tk 9.15 lakh to the committee of the mosques as the chief guest.
General Secretary of the foundation Shahiduzzaman Shahid, members Waziur Rahman
Raphel and Anwarul Islam Fulu and local elite including journalists were also present on
the occasion.
