45 detained in Ctg for hurling petrol bomb

Chittagong Metropolitan Police in separate raids detained 45 persons after raiding Darul Ulum Alia Madrasa and Agrabad Deverpar area for hurling bombs on police and Power Development Board (PDB) office Saturday noon.Police said some blockaders hurled petrol bombs on patrol police in front of Safa Arcade Community centre at 2 pm today.After the incident a contingent of Kotwali thana police raided Darul Ulum Alia Madrasa and detained its 35 students.A K M Mohiuddin Selim, Officer in Charge of Kotwali thana police told BSS that the detainees are being questioned and if anybody found involved in hurling bomb on police they would be shown arrested.The arrestees are now under police custody.In separate incident blockaders hurled petrol bomb in front of Power Development Board at Agrabad commercial area at 12 noon today.After the incident a team of Doublemooring police raided Deverpar area at 1 pm today and detained 10 persons suspected to be blockaders. -BSS, Chittagong
