Dhaka- Law enforcers in a joint drive arrested five people on suspicion of their involvement in militant activities from different char areas in Harirampur upazila in Manikganj on Wednesday morning.The arrestees were identified as Mawlana Majibar Rahman,45, Nurul Islam,30, Farhad Hossain,23, Rajib,22, and Shahid,25.Mahfuzur Rahman, superintendent of police, Manikganj, said a joint team comprising members of Rapid Action Battalion-4 (RAB), Armed Police Battalion and Detective Branch of police, started the drive in four char areas of the upazila around 6:00am.They arrested five people for their suspected militant link from the areas.The arrestees are now being interrogated, said the police super.-UNB
