Five people, including a woman, were injured in two separate incidents in Hatkaluganj area of Borobazar area of the district on Saturday night.
The injured were identified as Jamira Begum, Selim, Rafiqul, Ariful and Sohel Biswas.Police said two local groups of young men locked into a clash over sitting arrangement in an urs mahfil around 8:45pm.At one stage, one group equipped with locally made weapons attacked another, which left four people injured.In another incident, a group of miscreants attacked a local hotel in Boro Bazar area of the district town at night, which left hotel worker Sohel critically injured.Rescued by the local people, he was rushed to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident. -UNB, Chuadanga
