Five members including women of a minority family were injured,
3 seriously when they were attacked by their opponents in the village
Rajapur under SharankholaUpazila in the district on Thursday.It is learnt from the victims that an enmity has been
prevailing between one Parimal Haldar of the village and his neighbour
Abdur Razzak Hawladar for a long. Fallowing this on the day of
occurrence in the evening Abdur Razzak Hawladar, his son Bellal and
some 4/5 others who were lying in ambush near the residence of Parimal
and when he (Parimal) reached the place of occurrence on his going to
Rajapur bazar attacked him all on a sudden and began to beat him with
lethal weapons. Finding no other alternative he cried out loudly. On
hearing the cry his wife Bibha Rani (40), son Mithun (22) and
relatives Sanchita Rani (16) and Manika Rani (20) rushed to the spot
and tried to save him from the hands of the attackers. Then the
attackers fell on them inflicted cut injuries on their person and
snatched away the gold ornaments of the women. As a result, Parimal,
Mithun, Bibha Rani, Sachita Rani and Manika Rani were injured, 3
seriously. At that time when the local people reached to the spot the
attackers fled away and threatened Parimal not to lodge any case
against them. The injured persons were admitted to Sharankho Upazila
Hospital for their treatment. But considering the gravity of the
injuries Parimal, Bibha Rani and Mithun were shifted to Khulna Medical
College Hospital on Friday for better treatment .But it could not be
known whether any case was lodged with the local PS or not in
