Dhaka-Six people, including three women, were killed and a child was injured as a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Ahmadpur adjacent to Kashinathpur Bazar in Sujanagar upazila on Monday morning.The deceased were identified as Abdul Malek, 43, his wife Panna Khatun, 30, Sadhan Das, 27, and three-wheeler driver Abul Kalam, 35, of Sujanagar upazila, and Hasina Khatun, 35, and Sukhon, 60, of Shibganj in Bogra district.
Officer-in-charge of Aminpur Police Station Tajul Huda said the sand-laden truck hit the auto-rickshaw in the area around 7 am, leaving four of its passengers dead on the spot and three others injured.
Later, the injured were taken to local hospital where two others died after admission.
