The national Mourning Day observed on Monday at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) with due reverence and solemnity, marking the 41st anniversary of assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.All national flags are lowered to half-staff at all offices, residential area and halls of the university.
At 9 am, a mourn rally was started with teachers, students and employees from TSC center parading main streets which ended at “Bangabandhu Sritty Chottor”.
Later, teachers, student’s social, cultural organizations pay wreaths at Bangabandhu portrait.
A discussion was also held at TSC mini conference hall memorializing Bangabandhu.
Doa and milad mahfils will be held at all mosques after Zohr prayers and special prayers will be arranged in mandirs of the university.-BAU Correspondent
