In a huge haul, a customs vigilance team seized 60 kgs of gold bars worth about Tk 54 crore from an aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Wednesday.Contacted, Senior ASP of Airport Armed Police Md Alamgir Hossain told UNB that a team of customs officials, acting on a tip-off, conducted a search in the Cargo Chamber of an aircraft of Biman (Flight no.BG-702), which landed at the airport around 1:50 pm from Kathmandu.
Hossain said the costumes officials found 15 unattended luggage and recovered 1065 gold bars from the luggage after a search. – UNB
