Rats at good job!

Rats have always been a threat to agriculture. Rats causes a huge crop loss, according to some estimate, 1/3 of the rice crop is damaged by field rice rats in South-East Asia. They damage infrastructure, contaminate foods and cause diseases. Millions of dollars is used every year to control rats all over the world.
Meanwhile rats have been found engaged in good job for the welfare of the humans. According to a recent report, rats are being used to detect land mines in Cambodia. It may be indicated here that Cambodia even after the years of end of bloody war is still littered with landmines and other deadly explosives hidden under the land. The rats (a special breed) have been trained by expert rat trainers to get them familiar to TNT smell. Then the trainers guides the trained rats to detect the mines by smelling the object. As the rats are light in weight, the risk of getting the detected landmine exploded is almost zero. These rats do the landmine detection only in 11 minutes which would  have been taken 10 days with metal detectors. An incredible work indeed! These rats reportedly have also been used in some other countries to clear deadly land mines and other explosives buried under the soil.
The above mentioned fact indicates one thing that the Creator has not created a single article which is of no use and employed everything in the benefit of the human-beings!
