7 plays to be staged in Kolkata Prangonemor’s popular production Ami O Rabindranath will be staged on the inauguration day of six day theater festival in Kolkata.
Prangonemor, the leading theater troupe of Bangladesh is organizing a theater festival in Kolkata. The troupe is taking their seven audience acclaimed productions in this festival. Titled as ‘Prangonemor Bangladesh Theater Festival 2017’, the festival will be inaugurated on November 3 at Kolkata’s Ho Chi Minh road’s Satyajit Ray Auditorium at 6pm.
The six day theater festival will continue then till November 8. Each day will feature one production on stage at 7pm. The plays that will be staged in Kolkata are Ami O Rabindranath, Irsha, Shesher Kabita, Shyamaprem, Bibadi Sargam, Awrangajeb and Condemned Cell.
On inauguration day, Prangonemor’s popular production Ami O Rabindranath will be staged. “Ami O Rabindranath” is the 9th production of Prangonemor directed by Nuna Afroz. The play is based on a fictional plot and revolves around a die-hard fan of Rabindranath Tagore. The fan meets Rabindranath at different stages of his life at Shilaidaha Kuthibadi in Kushtia.
Irsha will be staged on November 4, Shesher Kabita and Shyamaprem on November 5, Bibabi Sargam on November 6, Awrangajeb on November 7 and Condemned Cell will close down the festival on November 8, reports internet.
