Dhaka – Police arrested seven suspected robbers from Borakchar village on Muradnagar-Iliotganj road in Muradnagar upazila on early Sunday.Officer-in-charge of Muradnagar Police Station SM Badiuzzaman said two police teams were patrolling Muradnagar-Iliotganj road at night.When the patrol team reached Borakchar village around 2:00 am, they found a group of robbers blocked the road lying trunks to commit robbery.Following this, policemen opened fire when five of the robbers sustained bullet wounds.The law enforcers also arrested two of the bandits by chasing them while the duo was trying to flee the scene.The bullet-hit robbers were taken to Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Comilla Medical College Hospital under police custody.UNB news agency
