70,000 Yaba tablets recovered from Naf

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 70,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from the Naf River at Leda in Teknaf upazila early Thursday.

Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB-42, said a team of the border force challenged a group of people while they reached the river bank by a boat at about 5:00 am.At one stage, they managed to escape the scene leaving behind two bags.Later, the border force recovered 70,000 Yaba tablets searching the two bags.The estimated market value of the Yaba tablets is Tk1.5 crore, Abujar added. –UNB, Cox’s Bazar
