A team of Joypurhat thana police seized 740 bottles of contraband phensidyl syrup from a rice laden truck at Baniapara area on Joypurhat-Bogra road and arrested two persons in this connection last evening.The law enforcement agency of Joypurhat thana intercepted a Chittagong bound rice laden truck from Hili land Port of Dinajpur at Baniapara on the basis of secret information and recovered 740 bottles of Indian banned syrup from the vehicle concealed under the rice sacks.Police also arrested truck driver Jewal Hossain and its helper Abu Hanif of Bogra district.Abdur Rasheed, officer-in-charge of Joypurhat thana, told BSS that a case was recorded with thana concerned in this connection under the Narcotics Control Act.BSS, Joypurhat
