A Nilphamari court on Sunday sent eight activists of Jamaat-e-Islami to jail in a case for killing five Awami League (AL) activists following an attack on the motorcade of Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor in 2013.Judge Mohammad Samiul Islam of the district court gave the order rejecting their bail prayers in a case filed in this connection.
Khairul Anam, secretary of district unit Jamaat, and Abdul Malek, secretary of Nilphamari Sadar unit Jamaat, were among the eight accused who appeared before the court seeking bail in the case.Earlier on December 14, 2013, the Jamaat-men allegedly carried out an
