At least eight people were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Ulokha in Kaliganj of the district early Monday.
Witnesses said that a fertilizer-laden truck plunged into roadside ditch in the area when its driver lost control over steering, leaving five killed on the spot and six others injured.
Of the injured, three died on the way to hospital.
