A total of 819 houses of seven villages under Faridganj upazila of the district have been brought under rural electrification network by Chandpur Palli Bidyut Samity-2 (CPBS) on Saturday.Local lawmaker Dr M Shamsul Haque Bhuiyan formally inaugurated the electrification programme at a simple function held at Kamta village as chief guest.
The seven villages are: Kamta, Badarpur, Bachpar, Sachonmegh, Surungachile, Subidpur and Shaldah.
Upazila chairman Abu Sahed Sarker, vice chairman Wahidur Rahman and deputy general manager of Kamta zonal office Rafikul Islam were present, among others.
