Dhaka-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday reiterated her firm stance not to allow any terrorist group to use Bangladesh soil for striking any neighbouring countries and laid emphasis on detecting the sources of arms and terror financing.She expressed her stance while Indian Congress Party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad along with his delegation members, now in Dhaka to attend the 20th national council of Awami League, met her at her official residence Ganobhaban.

Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Leader of the Opposition of Indian Rajya Sabha, appreciated the Prime Minister for successfully containing terrorism in Bangladesh. “You’re successfully handling terrorism and we’ve to fight it together,” he told Hasina.
Nabi also lauded Bangladesh’s socioeconomic development under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership saying, “Bangladesh is the fastest growing economy.”
He handed over a letter of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to the Prime Minister regarding the celebration of birth centenary of India Gandhi and requested Hasina to write a piece on Indira Gandhi.
Describing the bonding of the two neighbouring countries, the Congress leader said both Bangladesh and India share a common history.
Sheikh Hasina recalled the help and assistance of Indian government and its people during Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971, and mentioned that the country-to-country and party-to-party of the both countries are very much fine.
Sheikh Helal Uddin MP and Kazi Nabil Ahmed were, among others, present during the meeting.
