Indian arms trader on remand

Dhaka-The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday placed an alleged arms trader on a five-day remand after hearing to interrogate in connection with the arms.Magistrate SM Masud Zaman of the CMM court passed the order on Tuesday. Earlier, on Tuesday noon, on a tip-off, Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested accused Khairul Maler in front of Gabali bus stand. They recovered ten fire arms, 35 bullets and 12 magazines from the possession of the accused.
Later, police sought a ten-day remand to quiz Khairul, while the court granted a five-day remand to interrogate him. -Special Correspondent
