Dhaka – A court here today sentenced a terrorist to 10-year rigorous imprisonment in a case filed for recovering arms that was used for terrorist activities.The court of Chittagong 5th Additional district & Sessions Judge Nur -e- Alam delivered the verdict convicting Joysen Barua, hailing from Holodia village under Raozan upazila of the district.Court sources said a team of Hathazari thana police arrested Joysen Barua on December 22, 2003. Police also recovered a country made LG gun from Boalia Bridge area under Hathazari thana, according to his confession.Later, a case was filed against him with Hathazari thana in this connection. The investigation officer of the case submitted a charge-sheet against Joysen on December 22, 2003.The court today examined a total of seven prosecution witnesses, out of 14, and passed the verdict.Court sources said the convict Joysen Barua had been absconding after getting bail from the court.
