Dhaka – Detectives arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 1400 Yaba tablets and three sharp weapons from Shingrabunia village in Sadar upazila in Barguna early Thursday.The arrestee was identified as Sumon Sikder, 30, son of late Majibar Rahman Hawlader of the village.Sheikh Abdullah, officer-in-charge of Detective Branch (DB) of Police, said tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a drive in the area and recovered 1400 Yaba tables and three sharp weapons from Sumon’s possession.A case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act.UNB
