Dhaka– Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in a drive seized 50 maunds of jatka (hilsa fry) from two trawlers in Kirtonkhola river in the city’s Beltala Kheyaghat area in Barisal early Friday.Acting on a tip-off, a team of coast guards halted two trawlers and seized the jatka searching the trawlers, said Zila fisheries officer Kumar Pal.However, there was no arrest in this connection.The seized jatka was distributed among poor people and different madrasas and orphanages in the district.UNB
