Bangladesh bowlers showing well against Sri Lanka taking three quick wickets at 31/3 in 11 overs in the 1st ODI of a three-match against Sri Lanka at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Saturday.
Young pace bowler Taskin Ahmed captured the Lankan 3rd one to open his account in the match by his last ball of the very first over dismissing skipper Upul Tharanga (19) who was caught by Mashrafe at 31/3 in 11 overs.
Dinesh Chandimal (28) and Asela Gunaratne(17) were at the crease in the 4th wicket at 73/3 in 20 overs.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza made the first breakthrough in the very 3rd ball of the innings keeping Sri Lanka on zero as he sent opener Danushka Gunathilaka back with duck.
Mashrafe trapped Gunathilaka by lbw which finalised after DRS and continued pressure and got two maiden overs for his when Sri Lanka ware chasing a target of 325 runs.
Debut Mehedi Hasan Miraz departed Kusal Mendis (4), was caught by Shuvagata Hom, from 2nd pair in his last ball of the 3r over at 15/2 in 6 overs.
