Dhaka – Police in their special drive arrested 42 people, including a Jamaat leader, from different parts in Jhenidah on Monday. Police said they conducted the drive in different parts of six upazilas of the district from Sunday night to Monday morning and arrested them on various charges, said ASP Azbahar Ali Sheikh.Among the arrestees, 15 people were held from Sadar, six from Shailakupa, two from Harinakunda, six from Maheshpur, nine from Kaliganj and four, including the Jamaat leader, from Kotchandpur upazilas.The seven-day special drive was launched in 10 districts of Khulna region on April 3.UNB news agency
