Dhaka – Police in a drive arrested three men along with a pistol and 12 rounds of bullets in their possession from Kulpara High School under Shah Makhdum Police Station of the city on Sunday evening.The arrested individuals were identified as Shariful Islam Tushar, 26, son of Shaidur Rahman; Shohag Islam, 28, son of Shahab Ali; and Aminul Islam, 27, son of Nurul Islam, all belonging to Kulpara.
Iftekhayer Alam, spokesman of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) said acting on secret information, a team of Shah Makhdum Police Station conducted a drive in the area around 6pm and arrested them.The police recovered the pistol and 12 rounds of bullets from their possession.During primary interrogation, all three confessed to being involved in the illegal arms trade. They have been sent to jail prior to being produced in court, informed Iftekhayer.A case was filed with the police station.UNB news agency
