Dhaka – Detectives in a drive have arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 20,000 Yaba pills in the city’s Dakkhinkhan area. Tipped off, a special team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted the drive on Sunday and arrested Delwar Hossain, 32, and Yusuf, 28, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman on Monday.The plain-clothes police recovered 20,000 Yaba tablets from their possession, he said.During preliminary interrogation, the two arrestees revealed that they had long been involved in supplying Yaba tablets to various areas of the capital after bringing those from Myanmar border along Cox’s Bazar district, Masudur added.UNB news agency
