Dhaka – A young man was hacked to death by miscreants at Raypara Madrasah Road in the district town on Monday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Rana, 25, son of Jamal alias Masud Hossain of the area. He had been working as a salesman at Collectorate Market in the town. Rana’s mother Rahi Begum claimed that a group of 3-4 assailants, including Dollar and Babu, chopped the youth indiscriminately around 3pm and fled the scene, leaving him severely injured.Later, an easy-bike driver took him to Jessore General Hospital where doctors declared him dead, she added. Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Kotwali Police Station Abul Bashar said Rana was accused in 8-10 cases. “We’re investigating the incident.”UNB news agency
