Dhaka – A court here on Monday sent the Belkuchi upazila vice-chairman to jail rejecting his bail pleas in three cases filed over sabotage and obstructing government servants from discharging their duties.District and Session’s Judge Begum Fahmida Kader passed the order after Arifur Islam Sohel, 40, surrendered to her court, said Gazi Abdur Rahman, public prosecutor of the court.The three cases were filed against Sohel, also secretary of upazila Jamaat-e-Islami, on charge of carrying out acts of sabotage and obstructing public servants from discharging their duties.UNB news agency
