Dhaka – Customs official arrested an Indian citizen along with six kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Monday.The arrestee was identified as Soumik Dwatta.Md Shahidul Islam, assistant commissioner of the airport customs, said that Soumik, arrived at Dhaka airport by a Regent Airways flight (RX-785) from Singapore around 12:30am.Being tipped off, a customs’ team stopped Soumik while he was crossing green channel. Later, the team recovered the gold, in shredded form, from a compressor of his water dispenser, the official added.A case was filed with Airport Police Station in connection with the incident.UNB news agency
