Dhaka- A three-and-half-year-old boy was killed allegedly by his stepfather at Ichhapura village of Sirajdikhan upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Anik Das, son of Krishna Das and Anita Mondal, 22.Anita was married off to Madhab Paul one and half years ago after her separation with Krishna. She used to keep her child Anik from her first marriage with her.
Officer-in-charge of Sirajdikhan Police Station Abul Kalam said Anik’s mother went outside their home in the evening to clean utensils.
When she came back, she saw Madhab kept her son hanging upside down holding one of his hands with the boy bleeding profusely through and nose and mouth.
They rushed the child to Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.Anik’s biological father filed a case with Sirajdikhan Police Station in this regard.Police arrested Madhab over the incident.UNB
