Dhaka, Aug 31 – Gono Forum president Dr Kamal Hossain on Friday claimed that the country’s people are getting united in favour of healthy politics by shunning the ill politics.“Politics has to be positive. It should be exercised positively. People are avoiding ill politics and getting united in favour of positive healthy politics,” Gono Forum president Dr Kamal made the observation while addressing a party standing committee meeting held at its central office in Dhaka.
“We have to work all together for restoring rule of law, freedom of speech, effective democracy and establishing the voter right of the country’s people,” Dr Kamal, who is also an eminent jurist of the country said.
He also claimed that recent student movement for safety road and quota reform in government job was logical. We urged the government for fulfilling the students’ demand, he added.
He also urged the people to be united for establishing the democracy and restoring the voter right of the people.
Mostafa Mohsin Montu, Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, Advocate SM Altaf Hossain, Jamaluddin Ahmed, Advocate Juglul Haider Afric, Shafique Ullah, Sagir Anwar, Mostaque Ahmed, Ayub Khan Faruk, Rafiqul Islam Patikh, Farida Yasmin and Md Ismail were also addressed among others. – Staff Reporter
