A local leader and two activists of Awami League (AL) were injured in a bomb attack by terrorists in the city’s Boira area on Monday night.The injured were Kazi Mujibul Haque, general secretary of city 16 no ward unit of AL and two activists- Khandakar Bahuddin and Ashrafuzzaman Khokon.Police and witnesses said when the AL men was chatting at Mujibul’s bakery shop at about 10:45 pm a gang of terrorists hurled three hand bombs at them, leaving them injured.They were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Police visited the spot.City unit Awami League leaders condemned the bomb attack and demanded immediate the arrest of the attackers.Party sources said there was longstanding dispute between city unit AL president Sheikh Abdullah and its general secretary Kazi Mujibul Haque over establishing supremacy.The bomb attack might have been carried out as a sequel to previous enmity, they said. -UNB, Khulna
