B Chy for introducing politics of respect

Dhaka, Apr 22 (UNB) – President of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Monday laid emphasis on establishing the politics of respect coming out of that of hatred to give democracy an institutional shape in the country.

Speaking at a discussion-cum-doa mahfil, he also recalled the contributions of national leaders to the country and its development.

BBD arranged the programme at its Badda office in memory of national leaders, including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Moulana Bhasani, Ziaur Rahman, Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, MAG Osmani  and recently died party leaders.

“Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the architect of the Independence and its dreamer. We also remember all other national leaders who made contributions to the country from their respective fields,” he said.

B Chowdhury, a former president, said the nation needs to get rid of the prevailing trend of the politics of hatred. “The true democracy will be established in the country when the politics of respect will be introduced.”
