A man was killed as a train hit a truck at Gobindaganj level crossing in Chhatak upazila
on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Noor Mia, 40, son of late Rois Ali of Shibnagar village of
the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Chhatak Police Station Shahjahan Munshi said a Chhatak-bound
train from Sylhet knocked down a truck at Gobindaganj level crossing at about 5.00pm.
The truck veered sideways into a nearby shop, leaving its helper Noor Mia injured.
Critically injured, Noor was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College hospital where he
succumbed to his injuries at about 8pm. -UNB, Sunamganj
