A court here on Thursday placed Dr Dewan Md Faridullah Pappu, arrested in the Jubo League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky murder case, on a three-day remand.
Magistrate Hasibul Haque of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after Rapid Action Battalion-1 Assistant Director ASP Kajemur Rashid produced
Pappu to the court seeking a seven-day remand. The court rejected the bail petition submitted on behalf of the accused.
The remand petition says that Pappu would know about the conspiracy in connection with the killing of Milky. He also tried to conceal the facts of Milky’s murder.
11 accused including Dr Pappu were arrested in the murder case. He was put on another 3-day remand on August 18.
Reazul Haque Khan Milky, organising secretary of Dhaka city south unit of Jubo League, was gunned down by unidentified miscreants in front of Shoppers’ World at Gulshan Avenue-1 in the
capital on July 29. Milky’s younger brother Major Rashidul Khan filed the against 11 accused, making slain Zahid Siddiqui Tarique as the prime suspect.
