Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi
citizen from Benipur border in Jibannagar upazila early Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Billal Hossain, 40, son of Rabi Kamal of
Dhonekula village in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenidah district.
Lt Col Gazi Asaduzzaman, commander of Chuadanga-6 Border Guard
Bangladesh (BGB), said a special BSF patrol team caught Billal from
the border in early hours when he along with some cattle traders went
there to bring cattle.
However, the rest of the traders managed to return to Bangladesh.
A flag meeting between BGB and BSF in this regard was held at the zero
point of the border around 11am where BSF official said Billal was
handed over to Indian police. –UNB, Chuadanga
