The High Court on Wednesday ordered medical examination of the mental health of Oishee Rahman, a prime suspect in the murder of her police inspector father Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Begum.
The HC has directed to transfer Oishee to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University for the mental health test.
The vacation bench of judges Salma Masud Chowdhury and Zafar Ahmed passed the order after hearing a petition.
The court has said that Oishee’s addiction to drug has to be examined properly and a report on the state of her mental health at the time of the murders, and before and after the murders must be submitted to the court.
If necessary, Oishee must be counselled at BSMMU. –bdnews24.com
