The officer-in-charge (OC) of Faridpur Kotwali Police Station was
closed to the district police lines on Monday on allegations of
corruption and breaching orders of the force.
The accused was identified as Mashiur Rahman, OC (investigation) of
the police station.
Police sources said Mashiur joined the police station from Gazipur
last year as OC (investigation) and since then he had indulged in
various corruptions and irregularities harassing local people in
different ways.
Considering the allegations detrimental to the image of the police
force, the superintendent of police of the district closed Mashiur to
the police lines. -UNB, Faridpur
