A man was killed as a truck knocked down his bicycle at Parulia Bazar in Kaliganj
upazila on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Shamim Hossain, 40, son of Shafi Ullah of Charbarakpur
village of the upazila.
Witnesses said the truck hit the bicycle Shamim was riding on his way to Kaliganj
upazila headquarters in the evening, leaving him injured.
Critically injured, Shamim died while being taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
Sub-inspector Shahabuudin of Kaliganj Police Station said they recovered the body and
sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. -UNB, Satkhira
