Police arrested an alleged fake currency trader and recovered fake
Bangladeshi currency worth about Tk 33.60 lakh from his possession
along with equipment for making forged currency from the city’s Shah
Ali thana area on Saturday evening.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Shah Ali thana police led by assistant
sub-inspector Mosiur Rahman conducted a drive at a house at Road No-1
of Block-G in Mirpur Section-1 at about 8:15 pm.
Police arrested fake currency trader Joynal Abedin, 38, and recovered
from his possession fake currency worth about Tk 33.60 lakh along with
fake currency making materials.
A case has been filed with the police station in connection with the incident. – UNB
