A court has asked police to arrest 17 runaway accused in the cases over
Hall-Mark scam.
Among the fugitives are Apparel Enterprise owner Md Shahidul Islam, Star
Spinning owner Abdul Basir, T and Brothers Director Taslim Hasan, Max
Spinning Mills owner Mir Zakaria, Century International owner Md Ziaur
Rahman, Paragon Group Director Saiful Islam Raja and Nakshi Knit MD Abdul
Malek.
Dhaka’s Senior Special Judge Md Jahurul Haq gave the order after accepting
the charge-sheet in the much-discussed cases.
The Anti-Corruption Commission had pressed charges naming 25 persons in 11
cases relating to Bangladesh’s biggest financial scandal.
The court has also asked police to report the arrests by Nov 27.-
