Satkhira – BNP vice chairman Syeda Razia Foyez passed away at the capital’s United Hospital on Friday’s afternoon. She was 75.Razia Fayez, daughter of former Kalkata City Corporation mayor Syed Badruddoza, left behind two sons and one daughters and a host of well wishers to mourn her death.
She was elected as a Muslim League MP from Satkhira-2 constituency in 1979 and later served as a minister in the military dictator HM Ershad’s cabinet. Meanwhile, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed deep shock at the death of Razia Foyez.
The BNP chief also conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also condoled her death. – UNB
