Police in separate anti-crime drives arrested eight persons on various charges from different places of the district during the last 24-hour till Monday morning.
Police said the arrested persons including absconding warrantees, cheaters, drug peddlers and other anti-social elements.
The law enforcers also recovered 40 cans of contraband Indian beer and others illegal goods during the period.
The arrested persons were sent to jail hajat today, police said. -BSS, Joypurhat
